Dear Supporter, On behalf of The Greenwood Volunteer Fire Co. #1 (GVFC), in Warwick RI., we are reaching out to your organization, with the hopes that you will consider a sponsorship, to aid the ongoing operations of GVFC. The GVFC has been a long-standing and important part of the Greenwood Community. With a history going back to the beginning of the 20th century, there are still many neighborhood residents with strong ties to the fire station and museum.

The goal of GVFC is preserve the history of the Warwick fire Department, while continuing to educate, reach out, and communicate with the public, regarding activities and events at the museum. In addition, we provide a meeting and gathering place for the citizens of Greenwood, Warwick, and the State of RI. To champion our cause, some of our activities include, showcasing historical fire apparatus in local parades and demonstrations, conducting toy drives, hosting civic functions, and providing support to retired fire fighters. In addition, we also host open houses and tours, to showcase a wide variety of antique apparatus, documents and historical archives that tell the incredible story and rich history of the Warwick Fire Department.

Some of this history is directly tied to the founding of the Greenwood neighborhood, for which your organization might be an integral member.
